The Pretour would include 2 nights at the World Famous Kruger National Park to view the Big 5, 2 nights in the Drakensberg mountains which are a World Heritage site, 2 nights around Durban where there is a lot of shopping and entertainment available and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean to swim in and 1 night at a Zulu village called Shakaland which is half way between Durban and Dundee.
The World Meeting and normal weekend programme will be in Dundee from Friday 18 April to Sunday 20 April when you will be home hosted by our Tablers and 41’ers.
For those who still have enough energy and want to experience more of South Africa we plan to have a post tour in and around Cape Town from Monday 21 April to Friday 25 April.
The plan is that we will all depart on the tour buses from Dundee to Johannesburg on Sunday and those who must sadly leave will fly back home on Sunday night while those who are happily staying will fly to Cape Town.
The programme in Cape Town will include visiting Table Mountain, cage diving with Great White Sharks and of course some wine estates to enjoy the best wine in the world (with apologies to the French).
We would appreciate your comments regarding our plan, especially with regard to the dates and places we will visit. As we did in 2005 we have tried to combine the Tour with the Easter holidays to assist people who must take leave from their work and this is normally the best weather in South Africa.
